This is a perfect opportunity to start ballet no matter what level you are. In this intro workshop we will go over basics of ballet and have a Q&A in the end of the session.
Ideal for absolute adult beginners ballet workshop series where you can learn all fundamentals to be confident to step into ballet class. These interactive virtual workshops will give you an opportunity to connect with the instructor over zoom where you can learn, practice, get corrections and ask your questions.

Body aligment
You will lear about the proper body alignment and posture that are essential for ballet training. It also improves overall balance and body control.

basic dance positions
You will master is the fundamental positions of the feet and arms. All basic moves start from and end in one of these five positions or a slight variation thereof.

Learn barre exercises
Whne your posture is good and you are getting the hang of the basic ballet positions. It's about time you started some dancing! You will do simple ballet barre exercises that are easily performed in the comfort of your home.
about the instructor
Founder of One&Fit, Katerina Lubek was born in Moscow, Russia and started training in dance as a child. She participated in the National Cuban Ballet program, have trained with principles of Cuban Ballet and Soloists of Moscow Ballet Theater. Katerina performed with different companies at Lincoln Center, Alvin Ailey & Symphony Theaters in New York city, was also featured in GNC ad, InStyle and Bloombergs Business week magazines. Katerina teaches ballet, barre, stretching, and ballet inspired workouts. She is a certified instructor by American Ballet Theater, Bolshoi Theater and also certified by BarreVide as a barre fitness instructor and holds BA in Philosophy.
With her great passion for ballet, Katerina created One&Fit making ballet training available for everyone, no matter what level you are. You can train like a dancer and get all the benefits from it such as your best physical shape, improved posture and flexibility and connection to your mind, body and spirit with the help of music.

who is this class for?
Dancing is a natural and ageless form of expression. Although dance has no age restrictions, we are catered primarily towards adults looking to learn something new and have fun doing it.

what should i wear?
Dancing is about movement and enjoyment. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing that allows you to be flexible and relaxed. You can wear anything you want for your first lesson.

what are the requirements?
There are no requirements. Simply join the class and see for yourself. We want to share our passion for ballet, so if you ever wanted to start your ballet training in the adulthood or have done ballet in the childhood and want to refresh it - you are in a right place.

do i need to book all sessions or only 1 session?
This workshop is offered on Thursdays at 7pm ET from October 13th till December 1st. You may schedule one session and then continue with this series if you like it.
We recommend attend as many session as you can, so you learn pliantly of the ballet terminology, fundamentals, barre exercises and how to work with music, so you will get confident to continue in regular class.
